Canadian National WATER TREATMENT Competition 2024

Water quality is something that permeates everyday life for everybody.  Students analyze, design, and create filters that clean and treat water that simulates contaminated water in real life to develop their skills as future water resources engineers. Teams are evaluated on the construction of the filter, presentation and reporting skills, and the final quality of the treated water.

The competition provides a place where students can apply their knowledge to a practical project that simulates real world conditions. The opportunity to use classroom skills in a team project built with their own hands allows participants to develop their engineering, teamwork, and fabrication skills while also providing industry connections across Canada.
